zip lining was so....

CRAZY but so fun. So I had the idea to go zip lining before we even got to Hawaii but once we got there and once the day had come i was nervous wreck!! So we had to get up early and drive about 45 minutes. We finally got to the place and filled out all these waivers(not such a great thing if your already nervous)....then we headed out. Our guides were great and I was totally "THAT GIRL"...i was screaming, asking a million questions and I made the guide place my hands every time for in fear that if I did it wrong i would fall!!! Everyone thought I was funny and one guy even videotaped me and told me he was going to put me on you tube with the title..."Screaming girl zip ling from Valencia, Ca"...It was so much fun and I would totally do it again!!

HAWAII

so we are back...we left august 23rd and came back on the 27th. We brought the kids to my parents the day before. I had been explaining to Jack all week about the plan but didn't know how it was going to play out! Sunday morning we got up super early and left, the kids were still asleep...i gave them kisses and sobbed all the way to the airport! It was sooooo hard leaving them but once we got to Maui and I knew they were okay I started my VACATION! Our friends Lisa and Mike had a later flight so once we checked in Rob and I headed to the pool for some drinks and tanning! Our hotel was wonderful and everything about the trip was great! We mostly relaxed by the pool but we did some fun activities as well. The boys scuba dived and saw amazing things like eel, sea turtles and actually held an octopus...Rob and I had a wonderful couples massage and the 4 of us went zip lining....that will be a separate blog....all in all we laid by the pool, ate, drank, laughed a lot, relaxed and had a great time. By Thursday I was definitely ready to come home and see my babies...I missed them so much but they had a great time with Grammy and Grampy. They kept very busy, i think they went swimming three times, went to the Long Beach aquarium, went to Chuck e Cheese, took walks, played in the backyard and had lots of fun. We owe a gigantic thank you to my parents, they are wonderful parents and grandparents and we are so grateful for them!!!

Zoe LOVES Elmo

Recently I took out some of Jack's baby toys, in that were two Elmos...one was hokey pokey Elmo and the other pizza Elmo...Zoe LOVES them both so much, she laughs and gives him hugs!!! It's soooo cute!

honest feelings

so lately i have been in a bit of a rut. I love my life and i wouldn't change it for the world but some days being a mommy is exhausting. I have 2 kids 21 months apart and some days all i feel I do is change diapers, prepare a meal, feed a meal, clean up after a meal, laundry, trips to target, trying to keep the house clean and keeping my sanity. My whole life i have been very active and involved in many things like dance team, my college sorority and my teaching career...you don't realize how sometimes getting praise for all the hard work you do is really important. Don't get me wrong, my children are my biggest accomplishment and there hugs and kisses fill my heart but some days i feel like a robot and I just go through the motions. Rob has been really great telling me i need to go do things for myself....it's funny, i want to but then when I'm away from my kids i only think about them and miss them. Motherhood is so weird, all you want is a break and then when you have one you miss them more than ever. In two weeks, Rob and I and our friends Lisa and Mike are going to Hawaii for five days....i think this is just what I need to rejuvenate and feel like an adult with some adult fun! I will miss my kids soooooo much but i know they will have a blast with grammy and grampy and i need to learn to let people help me when i need it! Thanks for letting me vent...i feel better already! xoxo

We went to the concert in the park...it was great...lots of people, food, drinks and friends! Jack had so much fun playing with his friends and Zoe loved crawling around and watching everbody around her!

SOCCER!!!!!

For the past two Saturdays, Rob, Auntie Lo Lo and Jack have gone to lil kickers soccer for Jack and he LOVES it! Auntie played soccer at Pepperdine so she was so excited to come join the fun! Jack walked on the field, listened to the teachers, followed directions and had a blast. Auntie said he ran the entire time and was super competitive. This week the teacher told Rob he should move up to the older class because he is advanced....auntie is soooo proud! This is such a wonderful activity and with all the things Jack is involved I think this is his favorite!!!
