Halloween Playgroup

This morning our playgroup had our third annual halloween party! It was at a great park and the kids had so much fun playing, eating yummy treats and decorating pumpkins! Thanks Jen for organizing a great time!!!

1 year portraits!!!

Pumpkin Patch...Part 2

So on Sunday we went back to the pumpkin patch and this time Zoe, Daddy and Grammy came too! We had a great time and the kids really enjoyed petting the animals in the petting zoo, looking at all the different pumpkins and Jack rode the pony again...this time he rode Pete! It was much warmer but all in all it was a fun day!

Pumpkin Time

So today Jack and myself along with his best friends, Jack and Charlee went to the Lombardi Pumpkin Patch. Rob and Zoe stayed home because Zoe wasn't feeling well... we will be going back so she can have her first visit! We had a great day... we looked at lots of pumpkins, climbed up the hay stacks and rode the ponies. This was Jack's first time wanting to ride them and he did great! We brought home some big pumpkins and tiny ones for Jack for his school and he wanted to pick one and bring one home for Zoe! I have a feeling we will be visiting there a lot between now and Halloween. After dinner, Rob and Jack chose one of the pumpkins and carved it! Jack was interested for awhile and then got bored because Rob had to do all the carving. Jack did enjoy putting the candle in and watching it glow! I truly LOVE this time of year!

Sweet Sophie Girl

Sadly, we found out Monday that Sophie has cancer. Rob took her for her yearly checkup and the worst case scenario came true! With treatment she has about 7 and a half months to live! This was devastating news for us. We got Sophie one month after we moved into our house, she was 6 weeks old and she has truly grown up with us! She was our baby and she completes our family. Jack has such a deep love for her. Whenever were out and he is getting tired he always says he wants to go home and see Sophie girl. He lays on her, Sophie sleeps with Jack on his bed and i always find Jack just petting her and hugging her. The thought of telling Jack breaks my heart! I know he will be so sad without her and I can't imagine how he will take it. He is so young and I never imagined we would have to go through this. I never want my children to be sad and unfortunately there is nothing i can do. We haven't told him and I keep reading conflicting things on the Internet on how to tell small children. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear! So for now we are trying to enjoy everyday with her! Our goal is for her to make it to her 5th birthday in May...we would love to have a big party. I love Sophie so much, she is kind, sweet and soooo great with Jack and Zoe. I am so saddened by the news and i hope she will stay with us for as long as she can! I love you sweet girl!

DISNEYLAND

This past Sunday the four of us went to Disneyland. It was Zoe's first trip and she had a blast. We were there for 6 hours and Zoe slept for 2 whole minutes the entire time!!! We went on so many rides and her eyes were glued open with amazement!!! Jack had fun as always and we can't wait to go back again! I love creating memories with my family!!!

O-N-E!!!

My sweet Zoe Bear is one...can't believe it!!! I started a tradition with Jack that for every birthday I would write my kids a card...like a review of the year, what they have accomplished and how much I love them. I seal the card and i write the number birthday on the envelope and then put them away...i think it will be fun to read them when they get older. As i was writing Zoe's I couldn't believe that she is one. This year has gone really fast! It's hard to savor every minute when you are busy with two kids....she is such a beauty but she has also been a challenge!! I love her and I know we will be best friends just like my mom

and I are!!! She is such a wonderful addition to our family!!!!
